The Big Island is voted one of the best family beach vacations in the USA. The local Fairmont beaches are STUNNING. Many beach & shorelines are open to the public. So grab a book and a towel - and enjoy the beaches of Hawaii !
The Fairmont pool is a special experience. With beautiful ocean views surrounding this LUXURIOUS pool and Browns Deli right there for snacks and beverages, you may decide 1 day is not enough! Non-hotel guests can can get a beach day-pass too.
Reserve a 'Spa without Walls' and enjoy the sounds of lapping waves in a private oceanside cabana and a traditional Hawaiian massage with island aromatherapy. WOW! Tennis camp participants get a 10% discount on all services.
Walk from the Tennis Shop to some of the BEST golf in the world. Picturesque seascapes and rolling lava flows create a truly amazing golf experience. Whether it's 18 holes or the Wikiwiki 9-hole course (or a golf lesson?!), it's sure to be a fabulous morning.
A nice easy drive north leads you to Pololu Valley, with SPECTACULAR views of the valley and the steep cliffs that end in the ocean. Visit the lookout point or hike the short trail and take in the breath-taking views down to the black sand beach. So worth the trip!
Grab a Kona coffee and take a short stroll along the beach. Or opt to trek some distance. Either way, you can experience sandy beaches, sea shells and turtles, volcanic rock, and more. There are so many BEAUTIFUL beach trails from the tennis shop.
Snorkeling right near the Fairmont is AMAZING! Access and gear rental is easy and guides are plentiful. Go swim with some friendly fish and happy turtles (keep your distance please) and see what all the excitement is under the surface!
NOT a snow cone - Hawaiian shaved ice is made by ice that has been shaved into a fine, powdery consistency. And its DELICIOUS! With so many options (healthy and other), your partner may need to test many varieties (?!) (yum!)
